Ashley Curling
Ashley is an office manager at New Kent Capital where her duties range from bookkeeping to procuring digital marketing materials, as well as data analytics and other office managerial tasks. Until recently, Ashley lived in New York City and worked exclusively as an opera singer, and she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington. In addition to her primary responsibilities, she is also in charge of developing and maintaining company web pages and social media. She currently serves as Vice President for the Board of Trustees at Georgia Ensemble Theatre, and is on the board of the Roswell Arts Fund.
Ashley was seen in the Atlanta Opera’s productions of La Traviata (as Annina) and Madama Butterfly (as Kate Pinkerton), and was most recently seen in Loft Opera’s production of Macbeth (as Dama di Lady). She was awarded grants from the Wagner Society of New York in both 2015 and 2016, and has received numerous awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council, the Violetta Dupont Competition, the Metropolitan International Vocal Competition and the New York Lyric Opera Theatre. Other operatic credits include the Marshallin (der Rosenkavalier), Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), the Countess (le Nozze di Figaro), Desdemona (Otello), Susannah (Susannah), Alice Ford (Falstaff), Micäela (Carmen) and Mimì (La Bohème). The best part of being an opera singer is traveling – I’ve sung in Italy, France, England, Wales, Israel, Aspen, Savannah, Houston, Chicago, San Francisco to name a few! However, Dorothy said it best – “there’s no place like home”.
